Epson has expanded its dedicated home cinema lineup with three new 4K laser projectors, combining three-chip LCD technology, HDR support and large-screen projection with brightness of up to 3,500 lumens.
Epson has introduced three new projectors designed specifically for serious home cinema applications, expanding its lineup alongside the flagship Home Cinema LS11000. The new LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500 combine laser illumination with three-chip LCD projection and 4K/UHD image processing, targeting viewers who prioritize cinematic picture quality in controlled lighting environments.
Unlike Epson’s more lifestyle-focused projectors, the three new models are tuned for dedicated movie viewing, with brightness levels ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 lumens and an emphasis on contrast performance.
Designed for cinematic picture quality
The LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500 offer claimed contrast ratios ranging from 800,000:1 to 1,000,000:1, depending on the model. Epson says the specifications are intended to deliver deeper blacks and greater image depth when the projectors are used in dark or light-controlled rooms.
All three models support HDR10 and HLG formats. HDR10 content also benefits from Epson’s Automatic HDR Scene Correction technology, which adjusts image reproduction based on individual scenes and the capabilities of the projector.
The LS7500 is the most advanced model in the new range and features Epson’s Precision Short Throw Cinema Lens. The lens allows the projector to produce images measuring up to 300 inches while being positioned considerably closer to the projection surface than conventional home cinema projectors.
Installation flexibility is another focus. The three models support optical lens shift of up to ±21% horizontally and ±59% vertically, providing greater freedom when positioning the projector in a dedicated theater room.
Three-chip LCD projection with 4K processing
Epson is using a three-chip LCD optical architecture across the new lineup. One advantage of this approach is that it avoids the rainbow effect that can occur with some single-chip DLP projectors.
The company also highlights the ability of LCD projection to maintain comparable white and color brightness, rather than relying on a color-wheel system that can affect color luminance on some consumer DLP designs.
The projectors achieve their 4K output through pixel-shifting technology rather than a native 3,840 × 2,160 imaging panel. Pixel shifting is widely used in consumer home cinema projectors and can increase perceived image detail by rapidly shifting projected pixels to create a higher-resolution image.
Built for movies, but ready for gaming
Although Epson is positioning the LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500 primarily as movie projectors, their connectivity and response characteristics also make them suitable for large-screen gaming.
Each model features two HDMI inputs capable of accepting 4K signals at up to 120Hz. The projectors can also automatically switch to their fastest response mode when a gaming source is detected.
Epson claims input-to-image processing can be reduced to less than 20ms, potentially making the new projectors more suitable for fast-paced gaming than many traditional home theater projectors.
Bluetooth 6.0 and eARC connectivity
The three new models do not include built-in speaker systems. This reflects their focus on dedicated home theater installations, where users are more likely to pair a projector with an external soundbar, AV receiver or surround-sound system.
For private viewing, however, Epson has integrated Bluetooth 6.0, allowing users to connect compatible wireless headphones. The feature could be particularly useful for late-night movie sessions without disturbing other people in the home.
One of the HDMI ports on each projector also supports eARC, allowing compatible soundbars and AV receivers to receive audio directly through the projector.
Epson Home Cinema LS7500
The LS7500 sits at the top of the new range, combining the highest claimed brightness and contrast specifications with its short-throw optical system.

Epson says the Home Cinema LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500 will become available by the end of September. All three projectors include a two-year limited warranty covering full-unit replacement as well as complimentary technical support.
