Taipei Gears Up for APCER & Hotspot 2025: Where Asia’s Circular Future Takes Shape

Taipei Gears Up for APCER & Hotspot 2025: Where Asia’s Circular Future Takes Shape

17/10/2025Đô Nguyễn2 Mins Read

APCER & Hotspot 2025 in Taipei gathers global leaders to explore how Asia can turn innovation into real circular transformation across technology, industry, and sustainability.

The stage is set for one of Asia’s most anticipated sustainability events of the year. From October 20 to 23, 2025, the Asia Pacific Circular Economy Roundtable and Hotspot (APCER & Hotspot 2025) will bring together top policymakers, global brands, industry innovators, and thought leaders to explore how the circular economyis reshaping the future of production, consumption, and collaboration across the region.

Hosted by Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Circular Taiwan Network (CTN), the event underscores the government’s ambition to position Taiwan as a driving force in the global shift toward sustainability and circular transformation.

This year’s theme — “Leading Circular Collaboration” — highlights the convergence of industries and ideas. The program features high-level discussions, cross-sector site visits, and immersive sessions that dive deep into circular practices in technology, electronics, agriculture, textiles, construction, plastics, and local revitalization.

Taipei Gears Up for APCER & Hotspot 2025: Where Asia’s Circular Future Takes Shape

Among the most anticipated sessions is “From Brand Commitment to Manufacturing Practice: Building a Circular Supply Chain,” featuring leading players in the tech and electronics industry such as Dell, Acer, and Compal Electronics. The discussion will reveal how Taiwanese manufacturers are turning sustainability pledges into real-world action — redesigning products, optimizing materials, and establishing resilient, closed-loop supply chains.

Another highlight is “When Wafers Meet Chemicals — How Taiwan Builds the Circular Lifeline of Its Electronics Industry,” showcasing a groundbreaking collaboration between TSMC and LCY Chemical Corp. to recycle and reintegrate semiconductor by-products, creating a fully circular process that bridges the electronics and chemical sectors.

Beyond recycling, the event will also explore how Taiwan is redefining e-waste management and circular design through innovators like SDTI, Greenvines Renewables, and Miniwiz — companies that transform discarded electronics into new materials, extend product life cycles, and reimagine design through regeneration.

As global industries face mounting pressure to decarbonize and design for circularity, APCER & Hotspot 2025 promises to be more than just a conference — it’s a blueprint for Asia’s sustainable transformation, and a powerful reminder that innovation and environmental responsibility can thrive together.
