Apple has quietly updated the pricing of its AppleCare+ protection plans for newly enrolled Mac and iPad customers, introducing a modest increase for both monthly and annual subscription options.
AppleCare+ extends the standard warranty by providing additional hardware coverage, priority technical support, and protection against accidental damage, subject to applicable service fees.
Updated AppleCare+ pricing for Macs
The revised subscription rates are:
- Mac mini: $4.49/month or $44.99/year
- Mac Studio: $6.99/month or $69.99/year
- iMac: $6.99/month or $69.99/year
- MacBook Neo: $5.99/month or $59.99/year
- 13-inch MacBook Air: $7.99/month or $79.99/year
- 15-inch MacBook Air: $8.99/month or $89.99/year
- 14-inch MacBook Pro: $10.99/month or $109.99/year
- 16-inch MacBook Pro: $15.99/month or $159.99/year
- Mac Pro: $18.49/month or $184.99/year
Updated AppleCare+ pricing for iPads
Apple has also adjusted subscription costs across its iPad lineup:
- iPad and iPad mini: $5.99/month or $59.99/year
- 11-inch iPad Air (M4): $6.99/month or $69.99/year
- 13-inch iPad Air (M4): $7.99/month or $79.99/year
- 11-inch iPad Pro (M5): $10.99/month or $109.99/year
- 13-inch iPad Pro (M5): $11.99/month or $119.99/year
The increase amounts to $0.50 per month or $5 per year compared with previous pricing. The updated rates apply only to new AppleCare+ subscriptions for eligible Mac and iPad models. Existing subscribers will continue paying their current rates unless Apple announces further changes in the future.
Meanwhile, AppleCare One, Apple’s multi-device protection plan introduced last year, remains unchanged and is not included in this latest pricing adjustment./.
