COMPUTEX 2026 in Taipei brings together global tech leaders and 1,500 exhibitors to spotlight the rapid shift of AI from cloud computing to real-world applications across robotics, industry, and smart mobility.
COMPUTEX 2026 officially kicks off on June 2 across Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2, as well as Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, bringing together the global technology industry under the theme “AI Together.” This year’s edition has reached a record-breaking scale, featuring approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions across more than 6,000 booths, making it the largest COMPUTEX in the event’s history.
As artificial intelligence expands beyond cloud infrastructure and data centers into real-world deployment, the exhibition places a strong emphasis on emerging technologies such as AI servers, edge computing, intelligent robotics, industrial automation, smart mobility, next-generation communications, and immersive digital experiences.
The event further reinforces Taiwan’s strategic position within the global AI supply chain while highlighting its growing role as a center for technological innovation and advanced manufacturing.
AI Moves Beyond Computing Power into Real-World Applications
According to James C.F. Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the AI industry is entering a fundamentally different stage of development. While previous competition largely focused on computational performance, the industry’s attention is now shifting toward practical implementation in areas such as manufacturing automation, elderly care, and workforce transformation.

Huang noted that Taiwan’s competitive advantage stems from its comprehensive information and communications technology ecosystem, combined with its ability to rapidly integrate global innovations into scalable applications. In this context, COMPUTEX has evolved beyond a traditional technology showcase into a platform that facilitates international collaboration and accelerates AI adoption across industries.
Jason Chen, Chairman of the Taipei Computer Association (TCA), echoed that sentiment, emphasizing that the future success of AI will no longer depend solely on language models or raw processing capabilities. Instead, it will require seamless integration across hardware, connectivity, data infrastructure, energy efficiency, and real-world deployment scenarios.
He added that Taiwan remains uniquely positioned to contribute across the entire AI value chain, from semiconductor manufacturing and system architecture to large-scale implementation.

Spotlight on AI Computing, Robotics, and Next-Generation Technologies
This year’s exhibition is organized around three primary themes: AI Computing, Robotics & Smart Mobility, and Next-Generation Technology.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the complete AI ecosystem, spanning advanced processors and computing platforms to enterprise solutions and consumer-facing applications.
Among the most anticipated additions is the debut of the AI Robotics Zone at TWTC Hall 1. The new exhibition area showcases AI-powered robotics, intelligent service platforms, autonomous mobility solutions, and technologies designed to enhance collaboration between humans and machines.
Industry forecasts continue to underline the significance of this sector. According to market research firm TrendForce, the market for large language models tailored to robotics applications could surpass US$100 billion by 2028, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 48.2%. The projection highlights the growing importance of Physical AI, where artificial intelligence is integrated directly into machines, robots, and other physical systems capable of interacting with the real world.
COMPUTEX 2026 also introduces two additional exhibition areas designed to demonstrate AI’s broader impact across society and industry. The Tech Application & Experience Zone focuses on practical AI implementations in both consumer and enterprise environments, while the E-Paper Industry Zone highlights energy-efficient display technologies and sustainability-oriented innovations.
Together, these areas provide insight into how AI is reshaping sectors ranging from retail, education, and healthcare to smart cities and environmental management.
Global Technology Leaders Take Center Stage
COMPUTEX 2026’s keynote program features senior executives from some of the world’s most influential technology companies, including Cristiano R. Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm; Matt Murphy, Chairman and CEO of Marvell Technology; Lip-Bu Tan of Intel; and Rafael Sotomayor of NXP Semiconductors.
Their presentations are expected to focus on some of the most critical developments shaping the industry, including accelerated AI computing, edge AI infrastructure, intelligent automotive platforms, and next-generation semiconductor technologies.
Running alongside the exhibition, COMPUTEX Forum 2026 has expanded to its largest scale ever, featuring 28 sessions over three days. More than 30 industry experts from leading organizations such as NVIDIA, Microsoft, Google DeepMind, Arm, Qualcomm, and Cisco will discuss key developments across robotics, Physical AI, AI infrastructure, generative AI, edge computing, industrial applications, and data governance.

The forum is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of how AI technologies are evolving from data-center-driven innovation into practical deployments across diverse industries.
InnoVEX Continues to Drive Global Startup Innovation
Beyond the main exhibition, InnoVEX 2026 once again serves as a major platform for the international startup community, bringing together nearly 500 startups from 23 countries.
The event features nine national pavilions representing France, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, Israel, Canada, Italy, and the Czech Republic, reflecting the increasingly global nature of technology entrepreneurship.

Participating startups are showcasing innovations spanning artificial intelligence, green technologies, advanced telecommunications, smart mobility, and emerging digital services. InnoVEX also provides a vital networking environment that connects entrepreneurs with investors, accelerators, venture capital firms, and major technology corporations, helping to foster new partnerships and cross-border business opportunities.
Taipei Becomes the Center of the Global AI Conversation
With its record-breaking scale and the participation of leading technology companies, innovators, policymakers, and industry executives, COMPUTEX 2026 is expected to remain one of the most influential ICT and AI events in the world.
More than simply reflecting the latest technology trends, this year’s exhibition illustrates a broader shift taking place across the industry. Artificial intelligence is moving decisively from experimentation to large-scale deployment, paving the way for a new wave of digital transformation that will impact businesses, public services, and everyday life worldwide.
