AI and semiconductors emerge as key highlights

The stronger presence of AI and semiconductor technologies was among the notable changes at this year’s iTECH EXPO. While technology exhibitions in the past have often devoted significant space to consumer-oriented devices and products, foundational technologies supporting production and businesses are increasingly taking a more prominent position.

Chips, integrated circuits and semiconductors now serve as foundational technologies for a wide range of industries, from electronics and smart devices to AI and automated systems. Bringing these technologies into the spotlight also reflects growing interest in Vietnam’s capabilities in designing, manufacturing and developing a high-tech industrial ecosystem.

Alongside semiconductors, AI, IoT and automation continue to demonstrate how technology is shifting toward applications capable of addressing real-world business challenges. These fields also create more opportunities for technology providers to seek customers, partners and practical deployment opportunities.

More than 200 businesses join the connected technology ecosystem

With more than 200 organizations and businesses participating, iTECH EXPO 2026 became a space connecting multiple groups within the technology ecosystem. Alongside domestic organizations, the event also welcomed international partners from Belarus, Bhutan and the UAE.

The presence of international businesses and organizations expanded the exhibition’s networking scope, while creating additional opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to access technology, seek partners and expand their business activities into international markets.

At the same time, international companies gained an opportunity to explore Vietnam’s technology, manufacturing and innovation capabilities. This is significant as demand for cross-border technology supply chains and cooperation networks continues to grow.

From product displays to business collaboration

One sign that iTECH EXPO is seeking to play a broader role than simply serving as a product showcase is its business-to-business networking activities. According to the organizers, three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed during the exhibition.

These agreements represent some of the direct outcomes of networking activities at the event. However, the long-term value of the MoUs will depend on their implementation after the exhibition, when initial commitments are translated into projects, contracts or specific cooperation programs.

This is also becoming an increasingly important criterion when evaluating the effectiveness of technology exhibitions. Visitor numbers and the number of participating organizations reflect the scale of an event, while the number of business meetings, commercial opportunities and projects generated after the exhibition can provide a clearer view of its substantive connection with the market.

Expanding its role in Vietnam’s technology ecosystem

With more than 10,350 visitors, over 200 organizations and businesses, and more than 1,000 products and solutions, iTECH EXPO 2026 created a relatively broad space for companies to showcase technologies and seek cooperation opportunities.

In future editions, maintaining the exhibition’s scale while improving the quality of business connections could become an important factor in its development. Indicators such as the number of B2B connections, projects generated, value of commercial opportunities and the implementation rate of MoUs could provide additional perspectives on the event’s impact on the market.

The rapid development of AI, semiconductors, automation, IoT and digital infrastructure also creates room for iTECH EXPO to expand its content. By continuing to combine product showcases with business networking, technology transfer and international cooperation, the exhibition could become an annual meeting point for tracking changes across Vietnam’s technology ecosystem.
