Newly surfaced import-export records suggest Samsung may adopt a differentiated chipset strategy for its upcoming Galaxy S27 lineup. While the Galaxy S27 and S27+ are reportedly set to feature the Exynos 2700, the Galaxy S27 Pro could use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, with the Ultra model receiving Qualcomm’s more powerful Extreme variant.
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series has appeared in import-export records on the trade data platform NBD, offering an early look at the expected model lineup and their potential processor configurations.
The listings reportedly cover four European variants: SM-S952B/DS (Galaxy S27), SM-S956B/DS (Galaxy S27+), SM-S957B/DS (Galaxy S27 Pro) and SM-S958B/DS (Galaxy S27 Ultra).
According to the records, the standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ will be powered by Samsung’s next-generation Exynos 2700 processor. The Galaxy S27 Pro, meanwhile, is associated with the SM8950 chipset, reportedly corresponding to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is listed with the SM8975, which is expected to be marketed as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, positioning it as the highest-tier processor in Qualcomm’s next flagship generation.
Galaxy S27 Pro Could Take a Middle Position in Samsung’s Lineup
If the leaked information proves accurate, Samsung could introduce a more distinct processor hierarchy across its flagship smartphones.
Rather than equipping every model with the same chipset family, the company may reserve Exynos processors for the standard and Plus variants while using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform for the Pro and Ultra models.
Interestingly, the Galaxy S27 Pro is not expected to receive Qualcomm’s most powerful processor. Instead, it could use the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the more advanced Extreme edition would remain exclusive to the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
This approach would resemble the rumored chipset strategy for Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 series. The smaller Xiaomi 18 Pro is reportedly expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the larger and more premium Xiaomi 18 Pro Max could receive the Extreme variant.
Such a configuration would give the Galaxy S27 Pro a distinct position within Samsung’s lineup, potentially offering a balance between the standard and Ultra models in terms of hardware and overall experience.
Leaked Records Also Reveal Display Sizes and Memory Configurations
Beyond processor details, the NBD listings provide preliminary information about the display sizes and memory configurations of the four Galaxy S27 models.
| Model | Expected chipset | Display size | RAM | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S27 | Exynos 2700 | 6.3 inches | 12 GB | 256 GB |
| Galaxy S27+ | Exynos 2700 | 6.7 inches | 12 GB | 256 GB |
| Galaxy S27 Pro | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 | 6.5 inches | 12 GB | 256 GB |
| Galaxy S27 Ultra | Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 | 6.9 inches | 12 GB | 256 GB |
According to the records, the Galaxy S27 Pro could feature a 6.5-inch display, placing it between the 6.3-inch Galaxy S27 and the 6.7-inch Galaxy S27+. The Galaxy S27 Ultra would remain the largest model, with a reported 6.9-inch screen.
All four devices are listed with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. However, these specifications may represent only the configurations included in the current trade records and do not necessarily reflect the complete range of options Samsung plans to offer.
It is also important to note that Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy S27 series. The reported model names, processors, display sizes and memory configurations should therefore be treated as preliminary information rather than confirmed specifications.
If the leaks are accurate, the Galaxy S27 Pro could become an interesting addition to Samsung’s premium smartphone portfolio, particularly as the company appears to be exploring a more differentiated approach to performance and hardware across its flagship lineup.
