Adobe has launched Premiere for Android, bringing powerful video editing tools to smartphones and foldables without requiring a Creative Cloud subscription.
The new app supports multi-track editing, trimming, effects, audio extraction, noise reduction, voiceovers and video exports of up to 4K resolution. Its interface adapts to different screen sizes, including foldable devices and ChromeOS laptops.
Premiere is designed for both traditional video and short-form content, with flexible layouts and aspect-ratio options. Adobe says the app can run on Android devices with at least 5GB of RAM.
Basic video editing is free, while generative AI features require credits. Users receive 250 AI credits monthly, with a paid plan offering 1,200 credits for $8 per month or $70 per year.
After launching on Apple devices earlier, Premiere’s arrival on Android gives mobile creators a more capable alternative to the company’s aging Premiere Rush app./.
